The IEEE Computer Society Smart Grid Vision Project, Technological Concepts

The previous articles in this series provide the context for Smart Grid architectures and functional concept visions. These visions are supported by many underpinning computer science technological concepts. By investigating areas of computer science relevant to the Smart Grid, plans for focused research and development can be considered. The Smart Grid vision embraces the idea of a society of connected smart devices and systems that self-assemble and seek operational efficiencies and reliable performance.
