The webinar will address IEEE standards that are paving the way for a Smart Grid while looking ahead to standards needed to ensure a reliable, resilient, secure and sustainable electric grid. This will include discussion of related developments beyond the legacy grid infrastructure, including distributed generation and storage, electric transportation, smart cities, information and communications technology, and the Internet of Things. We will take a holistic view of the Smart grid in the broader context of climate change, sustainability, economic growth and efficiency and global energy issues.
